Want to become a wildlife rehabilitator?
All North Carolina Wildlife Rehabilitators start off as apprentices. Apprentices must work under licensed Rehabilitators for one year.
The CWCC Apprenticeship program is unique in that it is in-depth with many different NC Species. All apprentices work on-site at our Wildlife Center for the first 6-months to gain hands on experience and knowledge from the leading experts in wildlife rehabilitation.
More About the Apprenticeship Program
Our apprenticeship program is fully immersive into the world of Wildlife Rehabilitation. We give top of the line care to our patients and want to teach all of our apprentices to the highest level. This is why our apprentices work on-site with our licensed wildlife rehabilitation staff for 6-months to fully learn the best rehabilitation techniques. From there, our team will help you set up your at-home rehabilitation area and provide supplies to get you rehabilitating out of our home. After completing the 6-months on-site and setting up your home rehab area, CWCC will be there for you with any questions along your rehabilitation journey.
